Jo,
I read Good to Go. In three sentences my review: I laughed. I cried. I said, "I didn't know that!"
John
Dear Jo,
I started Good to Go last night and didn't want to stop. Your experiences are the same as we have had in our family with the deaths of our mom and my brother. Everyone gets so greedy when the work of caring is over.
Jeanne
P.S. Love the title of your book!
Jo,
I read Good to Go.
Thanks to your insightful and cleverly learned lessons packaged in delightful vignettes and loaded with readily digestible tips, I realize that every boomer should expect some white water rafting on the river of life!
Additional reality check: since many of us don’t have enough kids to staff our own long term caregiving teams, we will need siblings at our sides. So, fellow boomers, make peace now, dig into end-of-life planning so that you can free up energy for successful aging. Denial is a plan, but not a good plan. I bless people like Jo, who help us get motivated and organized. You really are good to go, Jo!

Jo-
I wanted to let you know that recently my mother-in-law visited with her childhood friend, Kate. Kate picked up my copy of Good to Go and immediately was captivated. "Wow, I need this!" she exclaimed. Just having celebrated her 70th birthday and with three grown children, she realized it was time to get started getting things in order. "This book is so easy to read, well written and full of so much useful information, where can I get a copy?" Before she left to go back to Maryland, we made a special trip to the Tattered Cover for her "airplane reading." Soon Kate will be "Good to Go."

"This is a gem of a book -- Elizabeth Kubler-Ross meets Erma Bombeck! Jo Myers brings a refreshing approach to what can be a difficult subject, gracing it with humor and appreciation for the trials and tribulations families experience coming to terms with the end of life. Astute, insightful and filled with humor and warmth; Good to Go
is a book you will want to share with just about everyone."

Jo,
I picked up Good To Go at the Skyridge Rocky Mountain Cancer Center yesterday. After spending some time reading parts with my daughter, I’m off to purchase a copy today.
My daughter is in serious trouble with metastatic breast cancer. The day before we had mourned together yet one more disappointing loss (this cancer delivers few bits of encouraging news) and even spoke around end-of-life issues for the first time. We sobbed together. Sitting in the car after radiation, we read from your book. It brought beautiful wisdom, perspective and some wonderful and needed laughs. Thank you so very much.
Thank you,
Mary Alice
Jo,
After I heard you speak at Heartlight Center, I purchased and read your book.
I enjoyed Good to Go—laughter through tears is great. After experiencing losing my parents and two older sisters, I’ve read a couple of grief books, but I like yours the best so far. Your book brought out some powerful emotions. Thanks for writing it. I will be good to go when the time comes; I now have a few ideas about my exit.
Thanks again for a glimpse into your world and experiences with loss, the humor and reality of dealing with death, the helpful way you wrote Good to Go and for bringing a new perspective to the whole process of death.
Best of luck on continued successes in your writing.
